1. Who we are
This website, the SwitchDoctor app, the licence cloud and the customer account are operated by the operator of the SwitchDoctor service (“we”). Questions about your data: support@switchdoctor.app.
2. Data that stays with you
The app is installed on your own computer or server and polls your equipment over SNMP, SSH, Telnet and ICMP. Everything it collects — device lists, port states, counters, logs, network maps, monitoring history, firmware files and the access credentials you enter — is stored only in the app’s data folder on that machine. We have no access to it.
The app connects to the internet only to: check your licence with our cloud; send alerts to Telegram if you set up a bot (directly from your installation to Telegram); and download firmware from the vendor’s repository when you ask it to.
3. Data we receive and why

Card details are entered on Paddle’s secure checkout and are never sent to us.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept”. In other countries they are on by default and you can turn them off with “Decline”. Your choice is stored in your browser (sd_consent); change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
5. Who we share data with
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates) — our reseller and Merchant of Record: processes payments, taxes, invoices and refunds. Paddle Privacy Policy.
- Google — website statistics (Google Analytics), subject to your cookie choice.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting of our servers.
- Email provider — delivery of service emails (confirmation, receipts, reminders, password reset).
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising. We may disclose data if required by law.
6. Where and how long
Our servers are located in Germany (EU). Account data is kept while your account exists. After the account is deleted we remove your data within 30 days, except payment records that must be kept for tax and accounting purposes. Nightly backups are overwritten after 14 days.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account, object to processing or withdraw consent to cookies. Write to support@switchdoctor.app — we answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Public demo
Devices added on the public demo are simulated; anything visitors enter there is erased after 30 minutes.
9. Children
SwitchDoctor is a tool for IT professionals and is not intended for people under 16.
10. Changes
We publish changes on this page with a new date. We notify account holders by email about significant changes.
